Alaska Highway, Company F and H&S. Born: 29 June 1919, Arkansas. Died: 14 August 1964, Paoli, Orange, Indiana. He died at age 45 from a self inflicted gun shot wound to the left anterior chest. His death certificate records his occupation as a U.S. Soil Engineer.
Education: University of Arkansas, Civil Engineer, ROTC. He arrived to the Alaska Highway in August 1942.

He arrived at Chilkoot Barracks, Haines, Alaska on 3 January 1943. He was assigned to H&S Company Platoon Commander from 3 Jan 1943 to 24 May 1943 and departed from Chilkoot Barracks on 18 February 1943 arriving at Ft. Randall, Cold Bay, Alaska on 27 Feb 1943.
He was assigned as Company C Platoon Commander from 25 May 1943 to 28 Nov 1943 then he was designated Company A Commander on 29 Nov 1943. He departed from Ft. Randall on 2 February1944 and departed from Adak with unit in June 1944. Promoted from Second Lt. to First Lt. on 18 September 1943.
