He was a reserve officer Army Dental Corps and on 13 March 1941 was assigned to Camp Livingston, LA with the 93rd Engineer Battalion. He continued with the 93rd Regiment to the Alaska Highway.
His father was Bedrech Fred J. Sixta (1882-1958) and his mother was Josie Krofta (1883-1954). Both were born in Czechoslovakia.
Married Helen A. Richtig (1915-unk). They had two children. He is buried at Clarkson Catholic Cemetery, Nebraska.
