He arrived at Chilkoot Barracks in Haines, AK on 3 January 1943. He was assigned H&S Company Commander to 20 January 1943, Second Battalion Excutive Officer from 21 January 1943 to 17 February 1943, and First Battalion Executive Officer from 18 February 1943 to 15 March 1943.
He departed from Chilkoot Barracks on 18 February 1943 and arrived at Ft. Randall, Cold Bay, Alaska on 27 February 1943. He was assigned Assistant S-4 at Ft Randall from 16 March 1943 to 11 September 1943, S-4 at Ft Randall from 12 September 1943 to 17 December 1943, and Assistant S-4 at Ft Randall from 18 December 1943 to 24 May 1944.
He was released from assignment with 93rd Engineers and departed from Ft Randall to the United States on individual rotation on 25 May 1944.
