Born: 5 February 1906, Staunton, Virginia. Died: 19 September 1958, Fort Payne, Dekalb, Alabama.
Education: Graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute [Auburn] in 1933 with a degree in mechanical engineering. The National Guard Military Register lists Milton as a member of the Corps of Engineers, 1Lt on 27 Jan 1941.
In the 1940 census, Milton Laurie worked as a mechanical engineer at the U.S. Nitrate Plant 1 with the T.V.A. He has two sons, Randolph D. and Charles J. Lurie. His wife, Mary Ward, also a college graduate, married Milton on 19 June 1932 in Cherokee, Alabama. His father was Charles Joseph Lurie, born in Russia and mother was Anna Leah Glick, born in South Carolina.
