Arrived at Chilkoot Barracks on 3 January 1943. Company A Platoon Commander from 3 Jan 1943 to 26 Apr 1943. Departed from Chilkoot Barracks on 18 Feb 1943 and arrived at Ft. Randall, (Cold Bay), Alaska on 27 Feb 1943. Regimental Adjutant at Ft. Randall from 27 Apr 1943 to 22 Nov 1943. On DS for travel and emergency leave in United States from 23 Nov 1943 to 5 Jan 1944. Regimental Adjutant at Ft. Randall from 6 Jan 1944 to date of departure of unit from Ft. Randall, AK. Promoted from 1st Lt to Captain on 2 November 1943.
His wife Lola Hill was born in 1907 and died in 1990. She is also buried at Camp Butler National Cemetery. His father, Jason M. Hill (1866-1943), worked as a Linotype operator at a newspaper. His mother Estelle “Stella” Feakins worked as a stenographer in a union office.
