Obituary in Asbury Park Press, 8 February 1999: Dr. Howard E. Dieker, 92, died at Brick Hospital. He received his pre-med training at Rutgers and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He practiced as a physician in South River, New Jersey from 1931 to 1970. He served as president of the Board of Health. He served in the Army for five years and during that time he was in Canada and Alaska with the 93rd Engineers during the construction of the Alaska Highway. His highest rank in the Medical Corps was Major.
