African American, Company B and H&S, Alaska Highway. Born: 30 September 1918, King and Queen County, Virginia. Died: 27 November 1952. Enlisted: 2 September 1941 at Richmond, VA and discharged 3 December 1944.
Education: grammar school. Civil occupation: mechanic/repairman. In 1940 census he was a laborer paper mill, Chesapeake Corporation and on his death certificate his occupation was listed as farmer.
His father was Rumbles Dabney, a farm laborer and laborer in a lumber yard. His mother was Eveline Stevens. Willie died at the young age of 34. The death certificate records cause of death as chronic brain syndrome associated with convulsive disorder and psychotic reactions. He suffered eight years with this problem.
