His wife was Gloria and children were Catherine E. Jackson, Ronald Everett (Shannon) Jackson, Sandra Lee Bassett, Byron (Cynthia) Schuler and Stanley E. Bassett, Jr. and Indian Caldwell.
After WW2 he mined coal in the Barking section of Plum and in 1960 he moved to Pontiac, Michigan. He was employed by the Pontiac Division of General Motors. In 1981 he retired as an assembler and returned to New Kensington in 1990.
